| How Can You Make a Difference ?
The media can't just do as it pleases. You can make sure it is held accountable
UK broadcasters and publishers are obligated to meet certain standards in their coverage and reporting of news. These standards are prescribed by two regulatory bodies, the Office of Communications (Ofcom) and the Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO). Failure to meet these standards may result in a (1) formal correction; (2) fines; or (3) suspension of license.
The power of many
Collective action is always a powerful tool. With your help we are leveraging the power of the many to put pressure on media organisations to hold true to the principles of journalism. Let's make sure misinformation and bias in the media does not go unchallenged.
This change doesn’t end with those articles, but helps journalists and institutions see their inherent biases, and help them deliver equitable journalism that truly and fairly represents all.
